(Host meeting) Step
4a: Host desktop-sharing |
1. When you started meeting in
Step 3a: "Meeting started", you would be (automatically)
sharing your desktop if there are any attendees (whom you
have invited in Step 3b: "Invite attendees", and who have
clicked your meeting-URL-link to join your meeting).
Desktop Sharing (illustration and demo below) allows you to show you attendees your entire computer desktop -- including any applications, windows, and file directories that are currently open. In other words, host-desktop-screen-changes are viewable at multiple-attendees-desktops
(around the world) in seconds.
You can:
- make (MS Office) presentations (for others to view in seconds around the world),
- share your (MS Office, I.E.) applications/desktop with others in real time,
- text or free-hand annotations (of your applications/desktop, to highlight a point),
- (granted) remote control (by attendee)
of your (MS Office) application /desktop,
with your multiple attendees worldwide, while you use 10-party Skype free audio-conferencing.

2. You may view (Dollar Meeting) desktop-sharing demo at URL:
http://www.dollarmeeting.com/UxDemo/UxDemo.html |
|
(Host meeting) Step
4b: Host annotation |
1. When you started meeting in
Step 3a: "Meeting started", you would be (automatically)
sharing your desktop if there are any attendees (whom you
have invited in Step 3b: "Invite attendees", and who have
clicked your
meeting-URL-link to join your meeting).
Host annotation (to highlight a
point, or to draw attendee-attention) allows the host to type or draw freehand
(illustrated below in BLACK) over host's application, window, file directory,
or desktop, and replicating the typing or freehand drawing to attendees' computers.

In other words, the host may draw image (i.e. type or draw freehand) over that generated by the host computer and replicate the drawn image to attendees' computers.
(You may subsequently erase the typed or drawn free-hand
images.)
Note: You may use the mouse to drag the "|"-icon (circled in
RED in illustration below) to
move host's tool-bar:

2. To annotate, you'd:
2(a) (to do typing annotation:) Click to highlight- -icon (illustrated below) on the (movable) host
tool-bar (at top-right corner of host desktop):

You may then (use keyboard and move mouse into position to) type-to-annotate over host's application,
window, file directory, or desktop.
To stop typing annotation, please click to de-highlight- -icon.
2(b) (to do freehand annotation:) Click to highlight- -icon (illustrated below) on the (movable)
host tool-bar:

You may then (move mouse into position to) depress
mouse-left-button and drag the mouse to draw free-hand

(Host meeting) Step
4c: Client remote-control |
1. Client remote-control (of host
desktop) allows (authorized) attendees to use host's mouse and keyboard to control the host's computer remotely.
It means that an attendee can work (such as to make presentation or share host's-application/desktop) on host's computer, as if the attendee were sitting in front of host's computer, and replicate the attendee's work (e.g. presentation or sharing host's-application/desktop) on host's computer to
all attendees' computers.
2. To allow client remote-control (of host desktop),
you'd:
2(a) Click to highlight- -icon (illustrated below) on the (movable) host
tool-bar (at top-right corner of host desktop):

Notice that "GRANT Remote Control..."-button of host-GUI is
auto-highlighted at same time; or
To disallow client remote-control, please click to
de-highlight- -icon.
(Notice that "GRANT Remote Control..."-button is auto
de-highlighted at same time.)
2(b) Click to highlight-"GRANT Remote Control..."-button
(illustrated below) of host-GUI (near top-right corner of
host desktop):

Notice that
-icon on the host tool-bar is
auto-highlighted at the same time.
(If an attendee wants to do client remote-control, the
attendee would click its "GET Remote Control..."
button, which would be auto-highlighted when you allow
client remote-control in 2(a) and 2(b) above.)
3. If you want to stop immediately an attendee's
current activity in remote-control (if attendee's current
activity is undesirable), please click
-icon
(next to
-icon, as illustrated below):

Step
4a: View host-desktop |
1. When you joined host's meeting in
Step 3: "Joined meeting", you would be (automatically)
viewing host's desktop.
Desktop Sharing (illustration and demo below) allows
host to show you (and other attendees) host's entire computer desktop -- including any applications, windows, and file directories that are currently open. In other words, host-desktop-screen-changes are viewable at
your (and other attendees) desktops
(around the world) in seconds.
Host can:
- make (MS Office) presentations (for you and others to view in seconds),
- share host's (MS Office, I.E.) applications/desktop
with you and others in real time,
- text or free-hand annotations (of host applications/desktop, to highlight a point),

Step
4b: Remote-control (of host) |
1. Remote-control (of host
desktop) allows you (or authorized attendees, one at a time) to use host's mouse and keyboard to control the host's computer remotely.
It means that you (or others) can work (such as to make presentation or share host's-application/desktop) on host's computer, as if
you (or others) were sitting in front of host's computer, and replicate the attendee's work (e.g. presentation or sharing host's-application/desktop) on host's computer to
all attendees' computers.
2. To get remote-control (of host desktop), you'd:
2(a) Ask host to click to highlight- -icon (illustrated below) on the host
tool-bar (at top-right corner of host desktop):

2(b) Or ask host to click to highlight-"GRANT Remote Control..."-button

(Join meeting) Step
4c: Remote-annotation (of host) |
1. After you get remote-control
(of host) in Step 4b: "Remote-control...",
you may use host's tool-bar to do remote-annotation (of
host).
Your remote-annotation of host-desktop (to highlight a
point, or to draw host/other-attendee-attention) allows you to type or draw freehand
(illustrated below in BLACK) over host's application, window, file directory,
or desktop, and replicating the typing or freehand drawing to
your and other attendees computers.

In other words,
you may (remotely) draw image (i.e. type or draw freehand) over that generated by the host computer and replicate the drawn image to
your and other attendees' computers.
(You or host may subsequently remotely erase the typed or drawn free-hand
images.)
Note: You may remotely use the mouse to drag the "|"-icon (circled in
RED in illustration below) to
move host's tool-bar:

2. To annotate remotely, you'd:
2(a) (to do remote typing annotation:) Click to highlight- -icon (illustrated below) on the (movable) host
tool-bar (at top-right corner of host desktop):

You may then (remotely use your keyboard and move your mouse into position to)
remotely type-to-annotate over host's application,
window, file directory, or desktop.
To stop remote typing annotation, click to de-highlight- -icon.
2(b) (to do remote freehand annotation:) Click to highlight- -icon (illustrated below) on the (movable)
host tool-bar:

You may then (move your mouse into position to) depress
your mouse-left-button and drag your mouse to draw remotely free-hand
annotation over host's application, window, file directory,
or desktop.
To stop remote freehand annotation, click to de-highlight- -icon.
